# Notifications
Notifications are automatically sent out for updates to bookings and events, using email and/or SMS.
# Types of notification:
# Booking notifications:
The following notifications are sent out to the person on a booking and will be copied to any subscribers:
- New booking - a booking is made for a person
- Booking cancelled - a person's booking is cancelled
- Booking rescheduled - a person's booking is rescheduled
- Event updated - the details of the event for a person's booking are updated
# Subscriber-only notifications:
These notifications are sent additionally to any subscribers on a booking:
- Booking attended
# Booking reminders
Reminder notifications will be sent out automatically for a given event to the person on a booking.
# Email notifications
Email notifications are sent to the person's primary email address - that is, the email address marked as "primary" on the person's contact details page.
These notifications will be presented as from your organisation and will carry the "This email was sent by [organisation name] using Causebase." line in the footer.
# Customising email notifications
At present it is not possible to further customise the content or design of email notifications, although this is a feature that we hope will be made available in future.
# SMS notifications
SMS notifications are sent to the person's primary mobile telephone number - that is, the telephone number of type 'mobile' marked as primary on the person's contact details page.
These notifications will be presented as 'from' your organisation, where this is supported by local providers.
