# Event Overview
Causebase features a fully-fledged events system, designed with managing client appointments and volunteer scheduling in mind.
# Main concepts:
- Event types - a type of event that can be limited to people with a role (e.g. clients, volunteers)
- Booking types - a type of booking for a given event type (not a lot more specificity atm)
- Events - an individual event of a given event type
- Bookings - a booking of a person on an event
